When the Online Noise Gets Too Loud (Read This)

There are moments when I scroll Instagram and immediately want to bury myself under the covers—drowned out by the endless noise of “I can help you solve this problem in your business!”

It’s not just overwhelming.
It’s contradictory.
Loud. Confusing.
And honestly? Draining.

So what’s a wise, brilliant coach like you supposed to do?

First: know you’re not alone. We all feel it. Deeply.
And while I don’t recommend burying yourself under the covers or giving up, I do recommend giving yourself a break. A real one.

When the noise gets too loud, say: Enough.
Then come back to your own lane. There’s no need to be in anyone else’s.

Consider a social media sabbatical.

It doesn’t have to be forever.
But even a few days—or a few weeks—can restore so much clarity.

In the past, I’ve removed the Facebook app entirely from my phone. I’m more cautious with Instagram (if you’ve saved posts or Reels drafts, removing the app might delete them—so double-check first!).

Sometimes, simply logging out or setting screen limits can be enough to disrupt the pattern and give your nervous system the space it’s been begging for.

When it comes to growing your coaching business, the best next step is always the one aligned with your goals.

If you choose to use social media—beautiful.
Just stay in your lane. Focus on what you want to say, post it, and leave the rest behind.

You can use these platforms on your terms.

With boundaries. With intention.
Use them to support your vision—and block out the rest.

It’s your most valuable business asset.
